The Foundation course is a one-year preparatory course offered by British universities to their prospective students. Working in co-operation with distinguished British universities in the teaching of their Foundation Courses in Greece, DEI offers preparatory courses for all fields of study provided by British Universities.

A complete preparatory programme of one academic year, with a specialized content for each academic area. DEI offers Foundation courses covering all fields of study.

All lessons are taught in the English language, however, during the initial period of adjustment, explanations are also provided in the Greek language. Along with the specialized classes related to their particular field of study, the students also attend English language lessons on a daily basis, so that their level of knowledge of the English language meets university entrance requirements.

DEI is in cooperation with top-class British universities, in the teaching of its Foundation Course. Each University formulates its programme in accordance with its entry requirements and undertakes the responsibility of securing places for its candidates. No G.C.E. A-levels or other entry examinations are required.

The teaching staff of the British Universities work in close co-operation with DEI in order to maintain the quality of study at a high academic level. More specifically, the representatives of the associated Universities act as examination advisors, approving the subject matter and defining the criteria for grading. All associated Universities guarantee a certain number of places for DEI students each year, while DEI Foundation Course graduates, depending on their grades, have been accepted by all British universities included in their applications.

One-year Foundation Course

The course begins in October and is completed in June. The average number of teaching hours per day is 5.  It is the most secure method for entrance into a British University. 

Intensive Summer Foundation Course

Candidates whose performance fulfils certain specific requirements are entitled to attend a two-month Intensive Summer Foundation Course during the summer, prior to entering British universities.

Along with the specialized classes related to their particular field of study, the students also attend English language lessons on a daily basis, so that their level of knowledge of the English language meets university entrance requirements.
